Kansas Bankruptcy Cases Go Up By 67% This Quarter
The number of Kansas bankruptcy cases increased dramatically from the first to the second quarter of 2006 as reported by the courts. Kansas's bankruptcy lawyers are working with more consumers to process their bankruptcy filings, especially those who are filing Chapter 7 bankruptcy.
In fact, bankruptcy lawyers handled twice as many Chapter 7 bankruptcy petitions compared to Chapter 13 petitions during the second quarter. While consumers continue to qualify for both types of filings, the Kansas bankruptcy courts are seeing more of the Chapter 7 cases this year.
