"New" Bankruptcy Law - One Year Later
The dust has settled. The one year anniversary of the most dramatic bankruptcy reforms in U.S. history has come and gone. And the bottom line is this: if you could have filed for bankruptcy protection before, you probably still can.
If you file chapter 7 or 13 does that me your are free and clear of any payments on what you bankrupt on. this is a personal bankruptcy. Or are you obligated by the new laws to try and pay some back. Do things also get repossed like vechiles and ATV and would you owe anything on them.
filing chapter 13 does it stop forclosure of your home?
